Heather Barclay

Heather was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Rural City of Murray Bridge in July 2023. With more than 30 years of experience in local government, including municipal engineering, she has a strong reputation as a transformational leader. She has held senior and general management roles in a variety of councils across South Australia and Victoria. Heather holds an Associate Diploma in Surveying and an Advanced Diploma in Project Management, and is a member of several professional organisations. Her leadership focuses on strategic planning, asset management, and delivering on the council’s vision for “Thriving Communities.”
