Free, independent and confidential financial counselling, grants support and relief services for rural and regional businesses in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Rural Business Support delivers free, independent and confidential programs and services that assist primary producers, landowners and small businesses across South Australia and the Northern Territory. Support focuses on improving business viability, resilience and wellbeing, particularly for those experiencing financial difficulty or the impacts of adverse events.

Services are delivered in partnership with the Australian Government and the Governments of South Australia and the Northern Territory, as well as industry groups and other agencies.

Rural Financial Counselling Service

Free, independent and confidential support for eligible South Australian and Northern Territory farming families and rural-related businesses experiencing financial difficulty. The service assists clients to understand their financial position, explore options, negotiate with lenders and creditors, and plan next steps.

Small Business Financial Counselling

Confidential support for eligible small and family-owned businesses, including those impacted by the Cudlee Creek and Kangaroo Island bushfires and small rural businesses in Central Australia. Support focuses on financial position, business viability and recovery planning.

Landowner Information Service

A free, factual and impartial information service for South Australian landowners, farmers and community members with questions about resources exploration, mining and quarrying. The service helps people understand processes, rights, responsibilities and available information.

Farm Business Management Programs

Programs that assist the development of a sustainable primary industries sector and resilient rural communities. Programs are developed and delivered in partnership with Australian, state and territory governments, industry groups and other agencies.

Agricultural Support Services

Administration and communication support for agricultural-related services and industry bodies across South Australia and the Northern Territory. These services assist farmers to access accurate information and make informed decisions.

Relief Fund

Provides practical and immediate relief to primary producers, foresters, fishers and small related agricultural enterprises experiencing hardship due to adverse events or natural disasters beyond their control. Assistance supports those at risk of financial distress, poverty or emotional hardship.
