Sarah Day

Sarah Day is an experienced business leader who brings more than 30 years of experience across corporate environments and the wine industry in New South Wales and South Australia. Her career has spanned customer service, sales, commercial management, project delivery, organisational capability and learning and development, giving her a strong understanding of how strategy, operations and people come together to deliver meaningful results.

Prior to joining RDA Barossa Gawler Light Adelaide Plains as Interim Chief Executive Officer, Sarah founded CORENECTIONS, an Angaston-based consultancy supporting regional businesses to turn ideas into practical action. Working alongside business owners, Sarah has helped strengthen operations, improve customer experience, develop effective people frameworks and translate strategy into achievable day-to-day priorities. Her approach is practical and collaborative, with a clear focus on solutions that create lasting value.

Sarah previously spent more than eight years with Hill-Smith Family Estates as Manager, Change and Capability. In this role, she led a range of organisational capability programs focused on employee engagement, development and retention, including orientation, reward and recognition and wine education. She also established and expanded the organisation’s Wine & Spirit Education Trust program, helping more than 1,000 employees and trade customers build their wine knowledge and capability.

Earlier in her career, Sarah spent 16 years with Samuel Smith & Son and Negociants Australia in Sydney, including 12 years as National Sales Support Manager following her role as Commercial Manager NSW. This extensive experience developed her strengths in commercial performance, customer service, operational improvement and supporting teams to work effectively together.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Mathematical Science from the University of Adelaide. A natural collaborator with a strong analytical mind, she enjoys turning complex information into clear insights that support sound decision-making. As Interim Chief Executive Officer, Sarah is committed to working with businesses, communities and regional partners to strengthen connections, build capability and support sustainable growth across the Barossa, Gawler, Light and Adelaide Plains region.
